The Institute of Social Studies and Analysis provides interested persons and organizations with educational courses in applied sociology and the foundations of social research; qualitative and quantitative methods of social research are taught; the courses on research methods provide participants with information on these methods and an opportunity to develop skills to use these methods in practice.
A certificate proving the knowledge attained is provided.
Educational courses include both lectures and practical activities (both group and individual) within which participants can implement the full cycle in practical terms, or specific steps of social research.
ISSA provides interested organizations and groups with both standard and modified syllabi within all courses its and tailors these to the needs and interests of the participants.

1. Quantitative research methods
Course description:
Quantitative research in social sciences encompasses the systematic empirical study of observable phenomena through the use of various methods to measure the characteristics of these phenomena and reflect them in quantitative indicators. Surveying is the main among such methods. Participants will become acquainted with all stages of research – from the design of the social study program to the data analysis. Participants will also complete tasks which will help them acquire and develop the practical skills needed to conduct research.

2. Qualitative research methods:
Course description:
Qualitative research includes non-numerical, non-experimental research techniques. It encompasses various approaches and research methods. Participants will become acquainted with these techniques and will develop an understanding of how qualitative studies are conducted., Significant attention is paid to the difference between qualitative and quantitative studies; participants will get acquainted with the methods, such as group discussion, variations of in-depth interview, ethnographic study, etc.
