The aim of the study is to establish interrelation between religious values, work ethics and economic behavior of Orthodox and non-Orthodox Christians, as well as Muslims. The project is implemented through conducting qualitative sociological research in rural and urban communities of Georgia. Sociological research is carries our within the framework of case study methodological approach which implies the combined use of following specific methods: content-analysis, expert interviews, focus groups and in-depth interviews. The content analysis was including analyzing materials and documents published over the past years by Georgian Orthodox and Non-Orthodox Churched (documents include epistles, preaching, official statements published in different media, etc.). Expert interviews were conducted with theologists and clergymen of different churches. The focus groups and in-depth interviews will cover the following groups: Orthodox, Catholic, Protestant and Muslim communities living in Tbilisi, Adjara, Samtskhe-Javakheti and Imereti.
Within the framework of the project, apart from involvement of employees of ISSA the experts are included. Furthermore, ISSA is cooperating with Centre for Training and Consultancy (CTC). It is planned that CTC, will coordinate the publication of research results and their presentation and promotion within the framework of the project.
