The Institute of Social Studies and Analysis, ordered by the Adjara Employment Agency, conducted sociological research aimed at studying the maritime labor market, in particular determining the employment prospects of Georgian citizens in the maritime field at various positions, both on cargo ships and cruise liners.
The objectives of the study were:
Qualitative research methods - board research and in-depth (expert) interviews will be used within the research.
Target groups of the study were: representatives of the Georgian Maritime Transport Agency, maritime higher and vocational education institutions, crewing companies, seafarers' trade unions, as well as acting captains. In total 17 in-depth and group interviews were conducted and 25 respondents were interviewed.
