The aim of the research was to study the expeneses of foreign visitors in the Autonomous Republic of Ajara. The quantitative method was used in the research. The target group was foreign visitors aged 15 and older who were interviewed using the face-to-face interview method after completing the visit to the border crossing. The interviews were conducted in four different languages - Georgian, Russian, English and Turkish languages. The questionnaires were provided by the customer organization.
The study continued for 1 year (from January to December 2016) and was divided into four stages:
The survey was conducted at 14 border checkpoints of Georgia. Overall, 3600 foreign visitors were interviewed.
Statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) was used for data entry, purification, and computer processing. Weighing data was done to generalize the results of the survey results. At the end of each stage, the purchaser was given a weighted and representativeized database (SPSS) that could be used for analysis.
