KAP survey concerning justiciable events in Georgia, 2012

11 Oct 2012

The objectives of the KAP survey concerning justifiable events in Georgia is to provide empirical information about the legal needs  that people experience and the common strategies that people use to respond to legal needs. Here we combine the civil, administrative and/or criminal issues. In order to capture the knowledge, attitudes, perceptions and behavior of citizens confronting the legal problems the triangulation approach is used. It means of using qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Qualitative research (in this case focus groups) is used as supplementary method in order to identify the list of possible problems, study the behaviors of the people in case of facing irregularities. The quantitative research methodology (in this case face-to-face interviews) is the baseline research which provides the adequate generalizable data concerning the research topic.

Up-to-date the three focus groups are conducted with the experts, the questionnaire is designed. The survey will cover the whole population of Georgia (the sample will be around 6500 interviews). The personal of Institute of Social Studies and Analysis will conduct field work, computerize the data and write the analytical report of the study.
