The aim of the quantitative research was to assess the needs of Tbilisi population, that will help to form the relevant budget of the needs and this, in turn, will facilitate to implement the activities focused on raising the welfare of the population.
Objectives of the research were:
To reach settled goals and objectives we used both quantitative and qualitative sociological methods. However, qualitative method (focus-groups in particular) had a supporting function of quantitative research – to develop the variables and indicators as a base for the research tool ( questionnaire) design.
Research Method: Sociological research was carried out using the interview method, namely face-to-face interview.
Research object: Sociological research was conducted in 10 districts of Tbilisi with a population of election age (18 years old and above).
The size of sampling unit amounted to 3000 respondents.
Sampling: We used a multi-stage cluster sampling, using pre-stratification for the research.
Sampling base (according to the sampling framework) is a list of voters of 2016 of Georgia (the latest data from the CEC). The research unit will be divided into 10 regions that coincide with the Tbilisi administrative structure.
