In the aftermath of the detrimental zero-tolerance policy, a new political force headed the state with the idea of liberalization of the criminal justice system. Many important reforms were planned and carried out during this period. However, undertaken inadequate efforts could not substantially change and improve the situation in the country. With varying intensity, criminal law remains the main instrument of repression in the hands of the state.
The project was aimed at studying attitudes and approaches toward gender equality issues within the youth. To this end, the research oversaw content analysis of the assignments included in Georgian Language and Literature test versions I and II regarding gender equality, delivered during the 2013 Unified National Exams.
With the aim of promoting that voices and perceptions of internally displaced persons on voluntary return and alternate durable solutions are heard, UNHCR commissioned an Intentions Survey among IDPs in Georgia. The survey was carried out by the Institute of Social Studies and Analysis (ISSA). Two thousand and one (2,001) internally displaced persons were interviewed by ISSA between October-December 2014 in Tbilisi and ten regions of Georgia.

In 2011, with the financial support of the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation, ISSA implemented the project Study of the Overall Social Profile of the Population of Kvemo Kartli Region. The aim of the project was to study the socio-economic conditions of the population of Kvemo Kartli. The research revealed the knowledge of and attitudes and perceptions to various regional events, implemented projects, institutions and structures.
